California Prop 65

Subject: California Prop 65 Chemical Listing

The Ace legal department requires all Ace vendors to be in compliance with their products in regards to the California Prop 65 law. This law identifies certain chemicals that either cause cancer or reproductive toxicity. They have an extensive listing of chemicals which are regulated by this law, and any vendor product containing these chemicals must be in compliance if these products are shipped directly to an Ace store in California, or any Ace warehouse which ships product to California, even though it may not be in the state of California.

All manufacturers, are legally responsible to make sure that their products are properly labeled for sale in California. Ace Hardware Corporation is asking that all appropriate vendors confirm that they are in compliance with all requirements of Prop 65.

Ace Hardware must be notified. Please identify any specific products that do not comply, and make sure they are not shipped to Ace Hardware stores or warehouses. If all of your products do comply, please check the statement below, sign your name and title, and return this letter as verification.
