Once you are EDI capable you need to make some Ace specific decisions.
- How do I want to transmit my documents to Ace over the Internet or through a VAN. For assistance see Introduction to Ace EDI Transmission Flow.
- What document do I want to start with? Usually the first document is the 850 Purchase Order. For help with this decision see Logical Document Progression for EDI Trading Partners.
After these questions are answered, you will need to fill out the TRADING PARTNER PROFILE. Also, please be sure to read and sign the EDI Agreement. Return both the EDI Agreement and the Trading Partner Profile to Ace Hardware. Once receipt and processing of the forms have been completed, one of our EDI Recruiters will contact you to explain the testing process and the testing time frame.
In summary we can be on our way to an EDI Partnership once you:
- Become EDI capable.
- Decide which way you are going to transmit EDI to Ace. AS2 is Ace's preferred method.
- Choose the first document type to send to Ace via EDI.
- Fill out the TRADING PARTNER PROFILE, sign the EDI AGREEMENT and return both to Ace Hardware.
